Sorry for the dearth of blogposts as of late. It’s been a busy last few weeks here in the best way. Thank you to all those who picked up pieces from our Spring ’11 line, it’s almost sold out! Spring is quickly turning into Summer here in Austin so it’s high time I recapped what we had going on in March and April, starting with SXSW…
C&J had a booth at the second annual Style X show. Chuck & I had a great time meeting lots of folks and debuting our Spring line. Thanks to all those who stopped by.
Of course SXSW wasn’t all work, plenty of play was squeezed in too. And at SXSW play means free music and free drinks and incredible days & nights. In no particular order here are some of the musical acts I managed to catch during nine of the craziest days of my year.
Sleigh Bells blowing socks off as they tend to do.
ASAP Rocky and the whole ASAP crew shook the Spotify rooftop party
SBTRKT brought the bass to the party.
A-Trak and Amand Van Helden doing their Duck Sauce disco greatness at an old Spaghetti Warehouse.
The Delta Spirit acoustic set at the Spotify house was a brief but needed respite for my ear drums.
French wonder kid Madeon blowing roofs off again.
Capital Cites is going places this year, mark my words.
Mumford & Sons and Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros were kind enough to play on the UT Campus. The UT Tower makes for a lovely concert backdrop.
You can never go wrong with a Major Lazer show. Never.
Nike lit things up for the occasion.
C&J supporter Chiddy Bang killing it as always.
Speaking of C&J supporters, Bonnie and Colby showed us some love at the Fader Fort.
Lastly, I was luck enough to catch the SXSWi panel featuring Anthony Bourdain, the coolest guy there is anywhere. Of course, because he’s so badass, he was drinking a Shiner on stage.
That wraps up SXSW, but March & April at C&J will continue tomorrow.
